The Sea Earth Alliance is a small scientific nonprofit organization. It is built om innovative scientific advancement to help mankind effectively mitigate global climate change. Our purpose is to present high quality current information to empower people to fight for climate solutions and to stand united to drive the change that is necessary. SEA was formally launched in 2013 by a small, dedicated group of climate scientists and oceanographers who happen to also be serious sailors. Our home base is Boulder, Colorado and St. Augustine, Florida. Our research vessel, the R/V NorStar, will be a 52 foot blue-water catamaran based out of St. Augustine. Sea Earth Alliance, Inc. was established as a Private Operating Foundation. We do not advertise or solicit funds. However, we do receive donations from concerned citizens across the United States and the world, especially from the scientific community. We firmly believe there is hope in unity and together, we can build a safe, sustainable future. On 7 February 2013 we began operations as SEA, Inc. when we were approved as a Colorado Non-profit Corporation. On 16 September 2014 we were granted formal Non-Profit 501(c)(3) status. Our six-member Board of Directors and Advisory Board is a seasoned team assembled to provide guidance and direction for each of our program phases. A complete list of the Board of Directors and Advisory Board is on a separate page. Included is a brief biographical sketch of our President and Executive Director, Walter 'Norse' Berg.
Peer review from within the global scientific community is a key component in our efforts to "get it right and reproducible." Our scientific research is driven, in every sense, by volunteers, concerned citizens, and scientists from around our planet.
